@floriangadsby: Rahmi Imrak recently sent me this little gift, a beautiful loop tungsten carbide trimmer with a wood turned handle. The blade has a curved section and a straight edge and sharp corner, which I’m hoping will work well for my feet, as I’m yet to finding a tungsten turning tool that can fulfil this need, but I think it has more to do with the angle of the blade, rather than the shape of the tool itself. This was a pleasure to trim with, to gouge away at the walls with and to straighten the foot. I primarily use these tungsten tools for removing weight from a pot, then I switch to steel tools to finish with as they leave more burnished, smooth surfaces. As a potter who adores the trimming process, I’m always after new tools to add to my arsenal, so thank you very much Rahmi! And for those of you who are after tools like this, I believe he takes pre-orders every couple of weeks/months and has a newsletter you can sign up to on his website for notifications about when he takes orders. #toolsofthetrade #pottery #ceramics #unboxing #asmr #ceramics #potterytools#ceramics #potterytools
