@tndtok: A California judge has refused to block two controversial policies currently at the center of a lawsuit against a state school district. The Temecula Valley Unified School District (TVUSD) school board was sued last year over its policies pertaining to parental notification and teaching critical race theory. Under the current policy, critical race theory, along with any "similar frameworks," are prohibited from being used to guide how topics related to race are taught in TVUSD classrooms. Additionally, TVUSD teachers are required to tell parents if their children request to use names and pronouns that do not match those on their birth certificate. #california #crt #criticalracetheory
