hi, i'm local non muslim, i try to not eat and drink in public transport. but in resto and cafe it's fine and encouraged, bcs their earning is lower in fasting time. i also love looking for delicacies

its actually a good time to do it bcs before iftar there will be a lot of food vendors selling local sweets and drinks, you are still allowed to eat in public btw

well if u stay in big city like jakarta, all the restaurants will probably still open like normal but they will put veil at their window so people who r fasting can't see people eating inside.

You can still eat in public at public resto, or mall etc. But sure when you eat in public transportation some people will think if its not polite. You can go outside for having autenthic food at 3pm
