I tell people who are looking at houses to start their evaluation on the outside by walking around and noting where the hills are. Then in the basement look at those basement walls at the lowest point

we were looking at homes and I felt a little dip while I walked over a rug in the living area. We lifted the rug and there was a hole in the floor. People trying to hide this stuff is crazy 😅

I had a simular story. our basement was finished and even the insp. said he wished he could've looked at the foundation. we should've paid closer attention to the dehumidifier in the corner. 13k fix
