As a parent you make sacrifices to enhance your child’s growth. Playing pretend is important to child development. Not to mention if something ever happened you’d give anything to play again 😭❤️

I saw a video that said kids feel the most loved when they’re playing with us. Personally, to make the pretend better, I try to get her to go w my storyline lol or put in AirPods n listen to a podcast

When kids stop asking it’s because they know the answer. Same reason they stop crying with “cry it out”. They lose their trust in you to meet their needs.

I think there’s a balance like you don’t have to do it ALL day, but personally I try to suffer through 20-30 mins if possible. Your hair looks great 💕

considering how fundamental pretend play is for the first ~7 yrs of development, I don’t see the point in having kids if u think playing is torture. Its like adopting a dog but vehemently hating walks

my son says I play wrong but still always wants me to play. so I try for a bit and when I'm wrong, I told him why don't you show me? and he just plays and I watch haha

Im able to get like 3 hours of pretend play in with my 5 year old a day. Not all once but broken up into 20-30 minute chunks. She just needs me to be an npc occasionally lmao

I don’t have distinct memories of my parents playing with me and I make it a point to play with my daughter DAILY! It doesn’t have to be hours, but something daily.
