@lmjuniper: I grew up in a very white country during a time when people were even more ignorant than today. I didn't have a lot Asians rolemodels, actually I had none except for Short Round and Ke Huy Quan. But he was in 2 movies before he fell off the radar (and made an absolutely wonderful comeback last year, but that's another story). Up until Crazy Rich Asians and the Everything Everywhere All At Once, we were still pretty invisible. Anyway, it's my very long way to say I wanted more stories where I could see myself, but I got tired of waiting for someone else to write them.
