@farmhouseish: Ever wanted to paint your cabinets?? Let me show you how! Here are the steps I follow to paint my cabinets with ease and get a smooth, flawless finish! - Create a labeling system with painters tape. I use 1U, 2U for uppers and 1L for lowers. Remove hinges and bag them with the same label. I also label top and bottom hinges. - Sand your doors and frames with a fine grit sandpaper & wipe them down. - Give everything a coat of primer (I use Zinsser bullseye 1-2-3 primer). - Lightly sand once primer is dry. - Use a quality cabinet paint. My favs are magnolia brand cabinet & furniture paint and Sherwin Williams emerald urethane trim enamel. - Sand doors and frame between every coat of paint with a 220 grit sanding block. - Brush and roll your frames with a foam roller to remove strokes - 2 coats. - I spray my doors with my @Graco Homeowner Sprayers TC Pro Airless Cordless sprayer for a perfect finish. - I personally spray front, back, front (just one coat on the back). Set up a dry station where each door can dry elevated & keep labels near each door. - Keep a foam roller nearby to catch drips as they dry. - Once dry, add hinges & hardware back and rehang, no top coat needed. #paintedcabinets #cabinetpainting #cabinetmaker #laundryroommakeover #farmhouseish #diymomsoftiktok #bluepaint #magnoliapaint #homeprojects #paintingtutorial #paintingprocess #paintingtips #paintingcabinets
