Your starting position is going to dictate how your deadlift looks at lockout. An excessive amount of thoracic rounding is going to make your deadlift nearly impossible to lockout. Do NOT sacrifice your positioning for speed off the floor. ✅ Focus on maintaining as close to neutral as you can in your thoracic and lumbar spineat the start of the movement. Being PATIENT during this lift is going to make this lift much harder off of the floor. This overall is a safer position to deadlift from. Should you train through INJURIES? 🤕 Make sure to SAVE this TikTok so you can use it for your own training! 📝 Before you decide to step away from training, ask yourself these 3 questions: 1️⃣ How SEVERE is the injury? Rate the pain and condition of the injury on a scale from 1-10. 1 being slight nagging pain, 10 being you can’t even function normally outside of the gym without extreme discomfort. 2️⃣ What movements or actions cause your injury to aggravate? Is it particular portions of your SBD, or does your injury hurt throughout the day without certain exercises? 3️⃣ Do you have a plan on healing your injuries? Figure out a solution to your problems, don’t just go into the gym without keeping your injury into consideration.
