“Bitter Sweet Symphony” The Verve (1 of 6) #bittersweetsymphony #theverve In my interest of demonstrating how suddenly upon you grief can come, I don’t mind sharing with you that if you look closely, you’ll notice I almost lost it several times with these clips. This song reminds me of my friend I lost in November, and I haven’t been able to get through it since, even though it’s one of my favorite tunes. That’s why I’m running every second of it with nothing cut out. I’m proud I got through it, and I thank you, because picturing you guys lifting me up certainly helped me to not change the channel, as I’ve been doing since November 4th. I hit record, was jamming away, and then it just hits you, doesn’t it? Of course I tried my hardest to remain and not break down, while driving; also, crying on the line isn’t my goal either. Having just said that, I’m reminded I have another clip wherein I’m fighting back crying, that shows how fast grief can wash over us. I’ll run it after this series. Fighting grief is a journey we all navigate in our own way, but we have to travel that road at some point and face what it brings. Whew. This one was tough. #grief #loss #itsokaytonotbeokay
