@abcnews: After coping with the news of her miscarriage in the same waiting area as expectant mothers, India Batson has spoken out about the importance of a safe space for those who’ve suffered a miscarriage. #pregnancy #miscarriage
You are absolutely right. The hospitals are the same. I had a baby who had issues and was not going to live and I was put on a maternity floor where I could hear all the babies. So horrible 💔

After my 3 miscarriages (8 weeks, 15 weeks and 13 weeks) I couldn’t stand just to be in a waiting room bc i kept dreaming of what it would be like. But I hear crying newborns and I have to leave..

being in that waiting room seeing other couples looking at ultrasounds smiling and rubbing their bellies felt like a slap in the face while I was holding in my sobs as we just got confirmation that our baby was gone. Please don't make it hard and more painful than it has to be.

As someone who had a traumatic loss at 21 weeks and then had to wait in the same waiting room used by the labor and delivery center where I delivered my son before my follow up appointments, yes!

It's like being put in the maternity ward after you have had a stillbirth💔 waking to the sound of crying babies is too much. My son would have been 37 this past week & he was full term, I get this.

Yes this was the worse experience I’ve ever had. Going to the OBGYN waiting in the lobby while sitting with other women who are having a successful pregnancy. I remember in the ER they took me in for

1000% resonate!!!! I had a stillbirth 5/21/19 at 25w3d, and having to deliver my son in the same area hearing other babies cry was brutal.

Absolutely yes!!! Also stop making us feel like we don’t live in our own bodies. Was told nothing was wrong when my tube was rupturing with one twin while the other baby was in my uterus..GRR

My mom delivered a stillborn and was in the er/delivery area with people having healthy babies. She had to listen to the babies crying and people laughing while she held my baby brother.

As a woman who has never had children I complained to my GYN about all of the pregnancy magazines and he got angry at me.

100%. My daughter found out her baby died 37.5 pregnant. Her sister came to the hospital thinking she was in labour. She cried hysterically. The nurse told her if she couldn’t calm down she’d have to

When I went to the hospital for a tubal ligation, I woke up in a private room, even though I had no insurance, but in the maternity ward, they did it to be kind. I was not charged for a private room.

I've been saying this for years as a ob/gyn medical assistant. I have always made it a point to bring back those patients with miscarriages as soon as possible in a room. 💔☹️

I agree. It was so sad sitting there while women around me were celebrating their babies ultrasounds and finding out the gender. I was happy for them but I was completely devastated sitting there.

I had to put my sunglasses on in the waiting room because I couldn’t hold back the tears as I cried in silence.

I lost three babies, my recuperation process was in a room full of women who had had their babies, to hear them babies crying and moms saying how wonderful it was to have them, breaks you down 😞
