Let's start with the fact that the only form of discipline is coming from me-a woman. That alone changes everything. 2. I'm constantly trying to find ways for him to express his emotions. We don't dismiss feelings in this house. He's allowed to be mad, frustrated, upset-whatever. But the rule is: be respectful about it. You can go to the other side of the room and be mad. Go hit your punching bag. But don't hit me. And he definitely be trying me. Sometimes, OJ crosses that line. He gets aggressive. And when that

And when that "respect boundary" gets crossed, I'm trying to teach him that it's okay to express feelings, but not okay to lash out physically. (I'll be contradicting myself if I feel like I can hit him because l'm mom) FYI, if you spank him, whoop him, whatever y'all call it—he mimics it and starts hitting himself. So that's a hard no. 3. I really just be trying stuff. And that stuff doesn't work I always explain why I'm taking something away or whatever it is, he DO NOT CARE! When it comes to consequences-taking away that tablet or blue block for a duration of time definitely hurts him. But now, he ready to fight me about it which is where the problem comes in again. We are trying the "Safe hands" method, restraining method if I need to, and also using the punching bag as an outlet. Realistically, some days I feel fatigue and low energy & because of my severe anemia Even my loud, stern voice don't work sometimes. I be sitting there like... dang, now what? Be ready to laugh at myself I want to discipline military-style: hold books, do push-ups, run laps. But even that takes coaching. He doesn't automatically know how to do any of these things.
