According to Maryland News stations, there were workers ON the bridge doing repair work when it was struck- they went into the water as well. Horrible

The Francis Scott Key Bridge is not the bridge that goes to Ocean City. It is part of I-695 that forms a loop around Baltimore City.

They pulled out 2 people last I heard. 1 is in critical condition. Also, they have no idea how many cars were on the bridge.

I think the bridge was closed before the barge hit it. They had the time to prevent cars from driving on it, I think!
