@macrodiving: Bluespotted Ribbontail Rays are arguably one of the most beautiful stingrays in the ocean 🌊 🪸 These stingrays are prevalent among the diverse stingray population in the Indo-Pacific reefs. Their distinctive appearance, featuring an array of vibrant blue spots on their yellowish-brown dorsal surface and dual blue stripes along their tails, serves as a striking warning of their venomous capabilities. Equipped with venomous spines along their lengthy tails, they effectively fend off predators such as the hammerhead shark. Although their venom is potent enough to deter threats, it poses minimal danger to humans. With a preference for solitude, these rays navigate their habitat while actively avoiding conflicts.
