Wow! This is so real and the reason I prefer private caregiving. I can actually blow dry and curl their hair, give them proper skin care and they're still room for some lipstick. Most facilities just do not allow time for personal care, it's so very sad.

As a cna i love getting my residents ready completely for the day. When i have 10 people plus two showers to have up by 8. I dont have time to do this. Facilities need 2-3x times the staff

the government needs to see this. ceos of hospitals, long term care, assisted living, rehab facility, psychiatric facilities. It shouldn't be about money anymore. we need more staff.

When I worked at a nursing facility I would take packs of screen wipes and clean glasses. 👓 I know I can’t see if mine are not clean.

omg the glasses thing is BIG for me. I wear glasses myself and I HATE seeing Grama with sludge on her lenses. I'm always cleaning glasses

One of the best things our facility did was serve super long meals! Breakfast was from 7-11 AM. Lunch started directly afterwards.
