I squash it flat in the freezer bag and then score it with the back of a knife so I can snap off one portion per day

This is exactly how I prep mine! I don’t let the whole veggies sit and dry, so I’ll try that moving forward. Will try the flaxseed too!

what about freeze drying? maybe crunchy snacking? 🤔 it can be rehydrated also.. I been freeze drying everything so this gave me another idea 😂💚

my birds are picky. they will only eat if it's freshly chopped so I do their meals daily 😔 wish they would eat chop but they don't like it like that
