As a former waitress, some mess is okay and expected. Its when there is a spaghetti smeared everywhere that is horrible😭 depends on the level or mess. A few cherios is fine

I always used to ask for a groom. If they bring it I clean it up. If they say no it’s our job I tip extra.

I typically acknowledge it with them if it’s bad I’ve asked for a broom before, I clean what I can, and I always tip extra extra if I leave anything for someone else to clean.

My cousin had a toddler & we always clean up when we go out together and the server always tells is we don’t have to, too.

When I was a server I never minded just taking a broom to the table after kids leave, but as a mom I pick up unless the kids are really misbehaving and we need to leave right away
