I think it will be disruptive in the commercial use jingle niche but It’s gonna be a pretty long time before an album comes out that climbs charts. AI should credit its sources and share royalties

I don't even listen to the radio anymore. I just put suno on in my car because I get commercial free music, and I can pretty much find anything I want, some stuff I've heard is so good you can't tell.

Yes it’s amazing but when I tested writing lyrics with AI, I felt utterly bypassed in the creative process. Like there was no input and neither satisfaction on my end. Also playing live is where we’re still unique!

That may be true that AI is a new writer, but so were drum machines and synthesizers, sequencers, etc. People thought people would be out of a job.

GPT models can only choose from a probability distribution of existing data. I'm hopeful this will push artists to start producing truly novel and creative music again 🙏🏼

Suno is brilliant for people like me, who create lyrics with no real means to turn it into a track. It will never replace the capability of humans though. Each genre only gives one or two varieties.
