@brutamerica: More than 200 artists including Billie Eilish, J Balvin and Nicki Minaj, have signed a letter to ask the tech industry to protect creative artists from AI. “We call on all Al developers, technology companies, platforms and digital music services to pledge that they will not develop or deploy Al music-generation technology, content or tools that undermine or replace the human artistry of songwriters and artists or deny us fair compensation for our work,” the letter organized by the Artist Rights Alliance reads. This isn’t the first time artists have demanded regulation against AI. In March, Tennessee became the first state in the U.S. to enact legislation protecting musicians against AI generating their likeliness for commercial purposes.
