long grain I just do equal parts water to rice but i let it soak once the rice drinks water drain the rest of it and put the equal amount water then it goes on the heat

if it's plain white rice take it to and let it boil for 10 minutes then put ot on low for 5 then off the heat but covered to steam for 5
