The flash food app can be amazing for this! I left mine on my balcony over night so I could deal with them the next day, I forgot about them and my husband started calling them the balcony boys.

one trick that my mother in law does is mash them up and bag them. so my muffin & bread recipe calls for 3 bananas. i mash up 3 and put in ziplock bag and remove the air.
