I was talking to an artist on when I was building my kit as a newbie in the industry; one of the most common advice I received was to make sure I go out to buy this and that. Now looking back, I don’t think I would advise anyone to do the same because most of the time the artists recommend you on things that works for them before really investigating on what will work for you and within your budget. Not everyone can afford luxury products and luxury doesn’t mean it’s good. I want to point out that I truly believe that knowledge and skills sets will always be priority when it comes to investment. Products come second and it’s just tools that helps us. If you give drug store makeup to any established Makeup Artists, I can assure you most of them can create the same level of artistry.
