My sister worked for the Boeing Labor Union and the water cooler talk amongst engineers was that they wouldn’t ever fly in a Boeing plane.

The technology is based on carbon fiber. The process is very complicated and very different from welding. Yeah they are in trouble.

Made by Boeing 787 Dreamliner is an American wide body airliner developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airlines. This is devastating with tragic loss of life. RIP for the many families suffering Boeing should not be part of India’s right to an independent investigation and inquiry considering they manufactured the plane. If the crash had a malfunction, inferior material/parts then Boeing should not be part of an investigation for transparency sake.

Hate 787, hulls shake like crazy on landing. I am sure there will be catastrophic hull failures after a number of cycles.

They’re composite sections so they are literally glued together, no rivets. And yeah, the risk is the composite will develop stress cracking over time like that billionaire submarine last year

He made these claims about the 777 as well. I’ve flown 777s for years and I don’t think they have much maintenance issues…

It does that because when the plane goes through compression and decompression cycles the chassis will expand a little. The new parts haven’t been through this so they are at the pre flight stage. If
