It has been a usual experience to see him break down in a corner or wipe away his tears whenever we would visit the children of the House of Hope. The HOH is a halfway house for pediatric cancer patients and it has become a tradition for Tatay Digong to visit the place even when he was still Davao City mayor. Through the contribution of FPRRD's supporters, the House of Hope was given a facelift back in 2022 and more donations continue to pour in. This young boy is just one of the many young lives that Tatay Digong has touched. In his own quiet ways, he makes sure that the most helpless get the support they need most.
