Louisiana native here…definitely not dirty rice. However, I bet it tastes pretty good. we use the trinity (Onions, bellpeppers, and celery). We also do not use most of those spices in dirty rice.

So there is a down the bayou recipe called ground meat and carrots y’all. This is 100% a Cajun dish but it’s definitely not dirty rice but similar. Just made this last week with a side of peas.
