I noticed a lot of even “progressive” ppl at my school would make fun of people still and one “bi hippie” girl outed a highly bullied person as trans to all of her bullies just making it worse

I am genz, I definitely noticed that bullying has gotten way worse over the years by teenagers on tik tok. I hate the “acoustic” thing or the backhanded compliments like “what am I doing wrong” whenever a happy couple is dating

while this is true, it's not entirely because this is just saying that gen z is literally like every other generation. Every generation thinks it's so much more progressive than the last and while it is, not as much as they think they are and they always reinvent bigotry in their own special way. also, are you not gen z?

Part of it is the younger half of gen z. The middle schoolers who are predominantly starting these trends weren’t the same gen z that did everything in 2020. I still agree that this is true tho lol.
