Thinking you need to pay someone to get your child wet is ABSOLUTELY wrong. Plus, you don’t even know what to look for, or who these people are. Swim schools aren’t in the business of making your child safe as fast as possible. They want you paying them until your kid is 27. Here’s the easiest and safest solution. 1. However old your child is, get them acclimated to water in the tub. They need to be unfazed by water on their face. 2. Work PURPOSEFULLY in your bath tub, regardless of age by establishing the verbal cue for every water/face action. 3. They never for one second wear a puddle jumper for swimming on purpose (exactly what they are designed and certified for). They are ONLY IN WATER WITH YOU! 4. You take that bath tub timing and communication to the pool. Implement the proper drills and skills as we suggest. 5. Let the child enjoy water in an age and skill appropriate way! (Steps, ladders, ledges) There you have it. Your child is more capable. More confident. And has an accurate assessment of their swimming ability.
