@pulpkitchenpodcast: Why Ripley is SO much better than Saltburn Check out our full review of Ripley in EP123! #podcast #ripley #saltburn #netflix #film #tv #movie #cinema #fyp #andrewscott @Netflix
some of us enjoy the sensory indulgence of a film like saltburn bc the stripped back arthouse approach leaves us feeling empty and bored

the only fault I can find was Andrew Scott is too old to play Ripley at nearly 50 yrs

Both are great. How can people build a podcast on films and not appreciate both

This conversation just shows there are very different ways to tell a similar story, doesn’t mean one is better than the other, they’re just vastly different aesthetics

I think that Saltburn and Ripley are simialr but soo different at the same time, I don’t think it needs to be such a constant comparison

Ofc you don’t need to use exceeding grotesqueness but saltburn did and did it well, great film that was portraying a different type of sociopath

But some films are just for the girlies. What you think is "grotesque" I think is beautiful. Not to mention that one film being excessive allows me to appreciate another's refinement and visa versa.

Saltburn just simply, at the end of the day, had nothing to say about class. It pretended as if it did, and then landed on exactly nothing.

i agree but people were talking about saltburn bc of those kinda intense scenes. no one is really talking about ripley. the bath and grave scenes got everyone’s attention bc it was so out there

Genuinely disliked Saltburn 👎 don't know how the cast especially Barry the lead had agreed to it! He was amazing in killing of a sacred deer and Banshees❣
Also,I loved many of LuckyChap film choices .. don't know why they invested in this one🤔
Can't wait to watch Ripley🔥

I LOVED Ripley’s mysterious and noir approach opposite to Italy’s baroque and out there architecture and art! It really hit the spot for me 🙌🏼
