I think this theory is incorrect. If he was idling in traffic the advance would never be in play to begin with until he revved up the motor “to put out the fire”

For it to catch filter on fire it had to run backwards. The engine running in normal fashion would keep it from combusting

Sounds like somehow it started running backwards. Seen it happen a couple times.😅 The weight of the steel pistons could be a reason why it ran backwards. The pump wasn’t timed internally right.

You sound nuts thinking the intake and exhaust valves are open at the same time, you have negative pressure in intake if turbos not spinning anyway. Shawn will get the pump timing setup for ya

Could someone had put some fire works or maybe a cigarette got in the air filter. Then air filter would be essentially a cigarette. I’ve Seen it salvaging grain from burning elevators.

Ima throw a guess saying got a sticky intake valve and was igniting and blowing up the valve into the intake. The zero spinning turbo would let it get past into breathers

Per my last comment lol, idling I’m traffic, rocked the motor into spinning backwards, any fuel in the intake (now exhaust) would pop. There’s not enough space here for an explanation haha.
