PLANTAR FASCIITIS || FOOT & ANKLE REHAB  Understanding the potential cause of your plantar fasciitis is crucial for developing an effective management plan—there’s no one-size-fits-all solution here! 🔎 Plantar fasciitis is a common condition involving inflammation of the plantar fascia, a thick tissue band connecting the heel to the toes. This often results in heel pain, particularly with those first steps in the morning or after your runs 😣 It’s typically caused by excessive strain on the plantar fascia, which can stem from factors like high-impact activities, sudden increase in running volume, improper footwear, or a lack of strength & capacity in your lower extremeity!  And no insoles are not a long term solution! Do not become reliant on them, it’ll only make your feet weaker.  So here are some exercise tips and long term advice ⤵️ ✅ Shin, calf, and foot mechanics – Understanding what the potential causes of your issues is recommended! Neither over pronation (flat feet) or supination (high arch) is bad, it’s only a potential issue when you can’t move in or out of these positions🦵🔄 ✅ mid foot and big toe strength –improving their capacity, strength and mobility can significantly aid recovery. 🦶💪 ✅ Coordination and balance – Improving these aspects will help to help globally strength your foot & ankle ⚖️ ✅ Strength your calves – Both lengthening and strengthening are crucial for proper function so challenge your calves to be stronger in bent and straight knee positions / varied shin angles! ✅ Force absorption and propulsion – Working on plyometrics in layer stage rehab is a must and often neglected / overlooked 🦘 🦶 If your dealing with plantar foot & ankle pain?
