I work with toddlers and one of them was deaf. He was frustrated because he didn’t know sign and he couldn’t understand us but we couldn’t understand him either. I was so frustrated with his parents😞

I think ppl should learn ASL regardless… I had to start ASL with my kid due to speech delay and I wish I kept it — looking to enroll either in the Fall or next spring

I feel like people assume they can ask the most personal questions to people with a disability 🙄 I get stuff like that as a blind person too like bro you wouldn't ask a nondisabled that. it's weird

my son first word in asl was please he say more in asl then does verbal. my daughter whom is older and was no verbal for the 3 years of her life yes we were constantly try sign language but she refuse
