@hikeswithfoz: I Swear All Trails Just Wants Me To Break My Neck At This Point 🤣 All Jokes Aside, I’ve been using All trails for as long as I’ve been hiking and dont get me wrong its a really good app in terms of providing you with hiking routes etc. This Clip Is From The Descent Down From Helvellyn, Were We Followed An All Trails Route, Which Led Us Down A Near Vertical Hill. It Clearly Wasnt A Safe Route. This isnt the first time ive been following an all trails route and its led me down a route, which is extremely sketchy. The App Doesnt Take Into Consideration The Conditions Or How The Terrain Can Change Over Time. Its So Important To Use Your Own Judgement When Hiking And Just Because All Trails Says Its A Route, It Doesnt Mean Its Safe And That You Have To Follow It. If You Dont Feel Safe, Dont Follow The Route. Ill Hold My Hands Up And Say Im Way Too Over Reliant On All Trails When Hiking. Moving Forward I’m Going To Be Using My Own Judgement To Decide Whether The Route Is Safe Or Not. I’ve Been Playing Around With OS Maps And I Eventually Want To Learn How To Use A Map And Compass.
