So many songs are about Matty, which I feel is an intentional slap in the face to Joe, who likely assumed the album would be about him. It’s like her saying “Joe who?!”

I honestly believe she originally recorded this with Matty Healy as the song is very 1975 sounding. When they broke up I think she then called Post Malone to record as a stand in for him.
