I had mine put in under general anesthesia.. I asked for numbing but the pin from the dr just trying to numb my cervix was terrible.

SFor my second one it hurt more. My doctor asked if I took pain medication before hand. I said no (I didn’t know it was an option) she said well your a tough girl you will be fine.

I've had 2 babies about 100+hrs of labor and 2 c sections. and I still almost blacked out during the iud. 0 pain relief or sedation.

I wish they would! I had a doctor putting in a replacement IUD. Then she accidentally pulled the brand new one out. All in one day I got two IUD's removed and placed in. Worst pain ever!

I found a place that would sedate me after my first insertion was med-free and full of trauma. I sobbed in fear as they pushed the sedative 🥲
