@iamrichroll: “Kids need less time on their screens and more time with each other.” This week on the podcast, I’m joined by Jonathan Haidt, an NYU professor and best-selling author. We discuss the negative impacts of technology and social media on the mental health and well-being of young people and the harmful effects of hyperconnectivity. Jonathan’s work is profound, and this conversation really struck a chord. This one is a must-listen if you’re a parent or simply a concerned citizen. The time for action is now, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. Episode 827. ✌🏼🌱 - Rich

Or, here’s an idea, teach children it’s ok to have their own opinion, they don’t have to conform or follow others, they won’t have dozens or hundreds of REAL friends, etc. And be comfy on your own👍🏻

Yes, but also the parents fear of not their child not being able to get in contact with them in case of “emergency” and emergency is subjective.
