@anna_louisa_at_home: Left over lemons? Here’s 3 ways you can clean using them! It’s Earth Day today so I thought today was the perfect day to share some chemical free cleaning alternatives! Lemons are antibacterial and antiseptic - they can kill bacteria and remove mould and mildew so they make a great substitute for chemical heavy cleaning products! 🍋 1. Add 1/2 cup of lemon juice to your detergent to brighten your whites. The citric acid in lemons acts as a bleaching agent. This helps lighten stains & get whites back to white. Disclaimer: not advised to use with colours or darks as it can cause fading. 2. Descale your kettle by cutting a lemon into quarters - Add to a half filled kettle and boil. Once boiled, pour away water and repeat the process with the same lemons if necessary. 3. Make your own DIY all purpose kitchen and bathroom spray - mix 1/4 cup dish washing liquid, 1/2 cup of lemon juice, 1 cup white vinegar and 1 1/4 cups water to a spray bottle and shake. . Please let me know if you try any of these! And also if you use lemons in other ways to clean, drop them in the comments - I love to hear new ideas! ☺️ . #chemicalfreeclean #cleaningaccount #cleaningtips #CleanTok #cleantok101 #cleantokuk #cleaningmotivation
