Runza recipe below 👇🥰 For the bread // 4 & 1/2 cups of flour 1/4 cup raw sugar 1/4 ounce active dry yeast A pinch of salt 3/4 cups whole milk 1/2 cup water 1 stick salted European butter 2 eggs combine 1 & 1/2 cups of flour into a bowl with the sugar, yeast, and salt. melt your butter then combine it with the milk and water and heat it up until it’s hot but not boiling. add your liquid mixture into the flour mix and give it a light stir. add in the rest of the flour one cup at a time, mixing after each cup. knead the dough for 5 minutes. place the dough into a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap, then leave in a warm place for an hour. once it’s done rising, separate into 8 pieces of dough. I like my runzas extra bready, but you can split the dough into 12 pieces to make it less bready if you’d like. for the meat // 1 & 1/2 lbs of ground beef Salt Pepper Garlic powder 1/2 of a cabbage (chopped) 1 yellow onion (chopped) While the dough rises, throw the meat in a pan and add your desired amount of seasoning and cook until almost fully cooked. Then, add your cabbage and onion and more seasoning and turn the stove down to the lowest setting. Let the meat and veggies simmer, stirring every 10 minutes until the dough is done rising. for the Runza // dough (recipe above) meat (recipe above) cheese ( I used cheddar for half and Swiss for half) grab a piece of dough and flatten it into a rectangle, then fill it with 1/3 cup of your meat mix, add a piece of cheese, then wrap the ends together and flip it before putting it on the greased cookie sheet. bake @350 for 15-20 mins. Enjoyyyy🥰🥰
