I think training is a huge aspect of this! Training loose leash walking resolves the pulling issue no matter what tools you use

I tried a harness but my dog hates it but with her collar she loves it so I don’t agree fully but I do understand why there’s some cons on walking your dog with a collar

Yess! You can put name tags on a harness so no need for a collar that can harm them. Take collars off at home too!

Harnesses allow the dog to use all of their body weight to pull, and encourages them to do so. When properly trained to walk on a loose lead, there’s no pressure being applied to the dog’s neck.

I use harnesses and dont allow them to yank or pull and i also dont. Its literally for legal purposes and also for unpredictable situations like squirrels otherwise they both walk by me and sensibly

My dog slides out of all the harnesses, she has a wide back but thin chest. I’ve bought 10+, with her at the store and she manages to slide out.

stop spreading disinformation. proper collar does not hurt dog, and if you teach a loose leash the collar won’t choke them.

I use a slip lead we teach a heel and loose leash walking. harness are bad for giant breed puppies unless fitted correctly which most people don't do. my dogs are also show dogs so they must know how

Sorry but NO ! My husky needs a leach for walks and a harness for actual pulling when we go mushing.. otherwise she thinks it's okay to start racing on walks! So no.. not every dog..
