what angers me is I saw a lot of therapists and counsellors over my teens and 20s and told them all how black and white my thinking was and how sensitive to rejection I was and how I was all ornothing

I was bullied so badly for how sensitive I was and how much I cried. I masked so hard, I didn’t cry for about 6 years. Once I started again, I couldn’t stop. At everything, all the time.

Don’t be so thin skinned was what I heard constantly from my mum… adhd wasn’t a thing in the 70s so I was just told to grow up… in my 50s now and only just realising why I was like I was.
