@moneysmart.sg: Have you seen those videos of men undergoing menstrual cramp simulators? It never ends well. We joked among our team that it’d be fun to own one of those devices and try it in our office, but we hadn’t figured out how to pitch that to our bosses just yet. It got us wondering tho: how many men do we need to gently electrocute just to prove that menstrual symptoms are real. And if society already struggles to empathise with the pain that women go through, how can companies, corporations, and countries see it too? In this episode of Relatable or Debatable, we stopped busy CBD folks in their tracks to ask them if menstrual leave was something companies in Singapore should consider. It is a highly complex topic and not one we could untangle in 3 mins, but it’s a start. FYI: There are currently no policies or laws in Singapore with mandated leave policies that specifically tackle menstrual pain. #menstrualpain #companyculture
