@aprilkae_: Tips for beginner bass players! 🎸🌸 These are a few things that were extremely helpful when I first started: 1️⃣ Take your hand and make a pinching motion, this is how you’ll move through the string ➡️➡️➡️ 2️⃣ Alternate fingers to develop speed. ⚡️ Now just set down your hand. 3️⃣ People don’t understand 🗣️ a lot of beginner bass guitar players think you have to put your thumb on your pickup. I prefer to combine that with putting my on different strings depending on what feels best for the song I’m playing. 4️⃣ For my beginner bass students, I suggest you start with your thumb on the pickup because that’ll get you really far ✅ 5️⃣ As for your fingers 🚫 don’t think about plucking the string in terms of pulling up or pushing down. 6️⃣ Instead, pinch your fingers through the string toward your thumb 💕 7️⃣ Alternate fingers, start slowly, making each sure each note sounds beautiful ✨ 8️⃣ Gradually increase your speed—as you are able to make each note ring clearly. 9️⃣ Remember to breathe and smile when u stumble, and keep jamming on bass guitar.
