If you dont have original small o rings from BMW, then only geplace the Big o Ring, because it may Cause a Leaking oil Filter housing

No. It’s better to First lose the Filter before the drain Plug. So the old oil in the Filter housing also can go out. Of you dont do ist there will be old oil in the Filter housing

I like loosing the oil filter and then draining the oil so the oil in the oil filter housing goes to the bottom

On a m5x engine you need to open the oil filter before closing the drain plug. Theres alot of old oil held in the engine by a vacuum that wont come out without loosening the filter.

should loosen oil filter before taking sump plug oil. allows old oil in the filter to drain before putting the sump plug in.
