I guess perspective really is everything, calling that nonstop sprawling development coast to coast from the gulf to the bay a small town is downright hilarious to me as someone from an actual small town in West Virginia. I lived in Tampa for a bit and St. Pete is not NYC no - NYC kids don’t understand that no where is NYC except NYC, but it is not a small place. You see the same people in any city you live eventually. I saw the same people in Denver all the time and it has millions of residents. Also that drive to Tampa is pretty damn quick depending how fast you drive across that bridge haha. SoHo is a bit more exciting nightlife but St Pete is a better vibe.
