I work for blood donation center and it’s just 2 units of red cells. It’s the same volume of blood product as a standard single whole blood unit.

Power red! My iron levels are never high enough. They take extra red blood cells and give you back the plasma. You could possibly be anemic (I’m not a doctor) now, which is why you’re symptomatic

Blood banker here. Men are very much eligible for double red cell donation. If you think about it red cells carry oxygen to your organs. That’s why you are supposed to rest and take it easy.

Actually red blood cells carry oxygen so makes sense how you feel but don’t worry you’re body is replenishing itself just stay hydrated, eat high protein foods ❤️thanks for donating 😊

Double blood is INSANE!! They wont even let me go back twice in 3 months. Make sure you’re taking a multivitamin and protein!!

Red blood cells transport oxygen to your body. Your blood volume is replaced in 24 hours but your red blood cells take 4-6 weeks to recover. Probably why you’re short of breath still.
