Silk is a fiber and satin is a weave pattern. You can have a satin silk pillowcase ie silk woven into a pillowcase using a satin weave. Hope that helps.

“Unlike satin” satin is a weave/finish, not a fiber. You can make satin silk. 🤦♀️
