@jessmillerdraws: I was today years old when I discovered how to create a grain brush in adobe illustrator—let me show you! ✏️ First draw a cluster of circles in illustrator, varying in size and scale. Then go to Effect—>Distort & Transform—> Roughen. Make sure to select smooth under the points section. ✏️ Then drag and drop your circles into the brush panel, selecting scatter brush for the brush type. ✏️ Start making adjustments, randomizing the size and rotation. Make sure to select tints in the colorization setting so you can apply color to your brush. Once you’re happy with your settings start applying and layering the grain brush to your vector art. Best part about this brush, it’s vector so you can size and scale without losing quality.
