@fallon_boerboels: Teaching road safety to my dogs is a top priority of mine. Dogs need to learn that roads are not safe. Teaching my dogs a “stop” command is essential because what happens if they get loose and are about to head into the road where vehicles are driving. What happens when you’re playing fetch and their favorite ball goes into the road? They need to be taught road safety and boundaries. I have an off leash dog who does voice commands,but sadly in her old age she is becoming deaf 😐.. luckily if she can see me she does a couple hand commands.

I do this with Gus and he’s so cute when he stops before we cross, without me giving him the command. He gives me a side-eye like “you see what I just did?”
