Nah the last episodes Katara and aang argued the whole time and they NEVER made up and were just supposed to accept that, and whilst the were fighting the show shows zuko and kataras bond growing

Aang’s first interaction with Katara: “wanna go penguin sledding with me??? :)” Zuko’s first interaction with Katara: attacks her village, invokes the most traumatic day of her life, and kidnaps Aang…. even if they did become friends later on, Katara FOR SURE never forgot what Zuko did to her and her people. that is not a healthy foundation for a relationship.

Toxicity? Didn’t zuko grow and change along the series? They could’ve had a great relationship arc along that, it’s not about the toxicity at all, it’s about the potential story they could’ve had.

i actually read katara and zuko (post bloodbending arc) as a sibling bond more than aang like they have a very deep connection because of their shared trauma with their mothers and the fire nation
