The counter-analogyId give is that people's tastebuds are different, and different flavors in that cake will come across to them in different ways.

People don't think to correlate the lessons of Fiction to real life since... it's fiction...

Come with us to see Disney on Ice in Phoenix, Arizona! I was a little hesitant about taking Lucy to see this because as a child on the autism spectrum, certain lights and sounds scare her. But guess what?!! SHE HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME! She saw all of her favorite Disney characters and was dancing in her seat. If you’re a mom with a child who is sensitive to lights and sounds, here were some important things about the show you might want to watch for: 1. There are certain parts of the show where fire shoots out from the sides of the screen located on the ice. 2. Loud bangs when the Fairy Godmother points her wand, and at the very end when Tinker Bell points her wand. 3. I noticed little children around us who were scared of Emperor Zurg and the whole Jafar scene, but Lucy was ok with it. Some tips if you’re wanting to bring your littles to see Disney on Ice! 1. Bring some noise canceling headphones just in case the loud noises and music is a little too much for them. 2. Try and grab some seats close to the aisle just in case you have to leave right away. 3. Prepare your kids before going by showing them videos of the show so they can kind of know what to expect, and get excited! By showing them how excited you are to go and see the show, hopefully they can understand that it’s a safe space and it’s totally ok if they have to step out for a minute or two. In the end, we had so much fun! I loved spending time with my daughter Sareena, her baby Bisbee, Tyler, his mom and sister and nieces… and I hope we can all do this again! #disneyonice #disneyonice2025 #autism #autismawareness #IceSkating #cinderella #moana #maui #mickeymouse #daisyduck #frozen #encanto #cherrymoon #seehergreatness
