Maybe it is to compensate for the TEF of the protein? it's approx 20%-30% of total protein intake is used solely in the digestion of that protein which would be the value of that 47g additional amount

I have POTS and I only do well on carnivore (high fats & protein) stabilises my blood sugar levels so doesn’t make sense to me 👀
