@moreperfectunion: If your business model doesn’t include a living wage and good benefits, maybe your business just shouldn’t exist. #labormovement #labor #workersrights #union #mcdonalds
True but most Mc Donald’s are franchises. The franchise owners only make 200k annually on good years. Raising minimum wages doesn’t hurt McDonalds, it hurts the franchise owners.

Wait, $15 -$20/hr isn't enough for a part-time high school student living at home?
How much should they be paid?

The average McDonald’s employee is in high school. The others should aspire to more.

If you gave away all that profit to the workers they’d get less than $18 a week (before taxes) and millions of people would loose some of their retirement savings since the stock becomes worthless

McDonald's corporate isn't local franchise owners. I don't suspect you'd have reasoned that out though.

McDonald’s corporation and their profits don’t have anything to do with the pay of 99% of their workers because they’re franchised

McDonald’s are franchises. This means each individual franchisee owner can pay the workers whatever they want. Why be mad at corporate for this?

So tax wealth like work. Bring back top rate of 90%+, apply to all income - capital gains, dividends, corporate. then use this $ to provide free

Why are we talking about McDonald’s? They literally doubled their wages from ~7 to ~15 an hour over the last decade. But passing that cost onto the customer is theREAL problem. The profit nvr changed
